HEY MOTHERFUCKERS I’M OFFICIALLY 18

Today is my 18th birthday. I was born February 8th, 1994. I’ve finally made it to 18 years of life and despite things that have occurred in the few months, life is good. I am happy. I couldn’t ask for better friends and I love and miss my family.

In another week I will get to see both of my beautiful sisters and be able to celebrate with them. This evening I’ll get to spend time with all of my friends and my family. This weekend I’ll go out with my wonderful friend Kaitlyn to go out of town and experience being an adult. In the next few months I’ll be getting my first tattoos, accompanied by my father and probably one of my sisters as well.I’ve waited so long and I can’t wait.

This is perhaps the only birthday I’ve been so thankful that I’ve made it to the next year, that I have so many wonderful things ahead of me. I’ve never felt so happy about this day in my life, it really has never seemed so special, but I am turning things around. I am learning from things that have happened in the last couple of years and I feel as if my chest will rip open with the swelling of pure, unadulterated happiness I have growing within me. It may sound odd, but I am crying and I’m not quite even sure why. Sometimes I didn’t think I could even make it this far, but I did. I proved myself wrong, and I plan to keep doing so.
